This year, 2025, you can also discover 2 temporary exhibitions inside La Battante, one on forestry and wood, presented by the ONF (Office National des Forêts), and the other on the museum project currently out to tender for completion in 2024/2025. Do you know the "battante"? It's the name the old Morzinois gave to their sawmills, powered by the torrents. "La Battante Morzinoise" invites you to discover the world of sawmills, a real insider's world! Contemplate the paddle wheel, admire the gleaming machinery and discover the song of the saw, which for centuries has accompanied the scenes of Morzine life...
