Lac Vert

Just a stone's throw from the French border, this limpid alpine lake is one of the Portes du Soleil's loveliest natural sites.

Situated at an altitude of 1'980 metres, the Lac Vert offers spectacular panoramas of the surrounding mountains, including the famous Portes du Soleil pass nearby. Easily accessible on foot or by chairlift, this is a popular picnic destination for families and a renowned fishing spot! Good to know: Visitors can purchase a fishing licence at the Refuge de Chésery and the hike to the lake can be shortened by using the Portes du Soleil chairlifts.
