Pick-Up Boxes are self-service collection kiosks that allow customers who have purchased their ski pass online to collect their card or pass without going through a traditional ticket office. They provide a fast and autonomous solution for ski pass collection.
Pick-Up Boxes are mainly used to collect a ski pass purchased online by scanning a QR code received by email after the order has been confirmed. They are particularly useful for customers who do not already have a hands-free card, as they allow them to obtain the card required to access the ski lifts. This system saves significant time by offering a self-service process with no waiting at ticket counters.
The process is simple: the user purchases their ski pass online via the SERMA / Skipass Avoriaz website and then receives a QR code by email once the order is confirmed. On site, the user scans this QR code at a Pick-Up Box to retrieve their physical pass or the necessary collection information. The ski pass can then be used immediately on the slopes.
Pick-Up Boxes are generally located near ski pass sales points and automatic machines across the ski area. In Avoriaz, they can be found around the main sales locations, such as Place Jean Vuarnet. They are integrated into automated machines or freely accessible kiosks.
Key advantages for skiers include 24/7 access at most automated locations, a fully autonomous service with no human interaction, fast and easy use thanks to the QR code, and a significant reduction in waiting time at traditional ticket offices.
